HPIPlacementHPI placement-> *MEG alone If you only record MEG signals, HPI coils will be placed directly on the scalp surface. The HPI coils should be placed as far as each other as possible at 4 specific locations on the head: * one on the left and on the right mastoids
* one on the left and on the right forehead right below the hairline.
-> *Simultaneous MEG/EEG If you record simultaneously MEG and EEG, in this case, you will place HPI coils on the EEG cap^as follow: *scotchtape each coil at its correct position : two in front of the head (plastic cables) and two in a more posterior position (parietal regions)
Affix the HPI with one double-face tape AND micropore tape. It is recommended to scotchtape the cables of your HPI coils on the right shoulder of your subject. Be careful to let enough length for the subject to move his head. Be careful, it is really important to weel fix HPI coils because these ones have not to move during all the time of your recording. |
