How to organize your data on the serverOriginal data are stored directly from acquisition workstation on the neurospin data server. You can only read your data on this server for security reasons. You do not have to copy your data from this server because these data are already backed up. So, you have to create symbolic links pointing to your original files (see "How to create symbolic links ?" and "How to read your data on the server? " sections). Additionally to the data server, two MEG spaces are available on the NeuroSpin server. Space 1; /neurospin/meg/meg_repIn this space, your data have to be clean, final, non-redundant, and appropriately documented. This space is NOT a workspace but a DATA REPOSITORY which will be BACKED UP daily. This space is divided in four subspaces: * /neurospin/meg/meg_rep/unicog It is recommended to organize your data in this subspace as follows: One main folder named with your protocol name has to be created: projectname_yourname_year. In this folder, create the following sub folders as necessary: * IRManat folder in which you will import via the NMRServer your anatomical MRI original file for each of your subjects included in your protocol
* for data processed with Brainstorm software, Brainstorm will create a folder corresponding to the protocol that you will define. In this folder, you will find the Brainstorm database corresponding to two sub folders (data and anat) automatically created and in which each subject will have his folder (automatically created).
* for data processed with other software, if this is not automatically done, it is recommended to create folder named, for example "Fieldtrip" and one sub folder by subject.
The main folder, corresponding to your protocol, only contains your subject's data and eventually scripts for processing, nothing else. * /neurospin/meg/meg_rep/anat Concerning segmented MRI data, in order to avoid to do and redo that has been already done by your colleagues, store all segmented MRI files with Brainvisa or freesurfer in this subspace. Please, create one sub folder by subject, named with the corresponding NIP (anonymous label) !!! * /neurospin/meg/meg_rep/tools All definitve scripts (clean and commented) have to be stored here in order to make it available for all colleagues * /neurospin/meg/meg_rep/platform This space is dedicated to contain project folders from external researchers / MEG platform users Space 2 /neurospin/meg/meg_tmpThis space is dedicated to your ongoing analysis, tests, etc... This space is also backed-up. You will find detailed information about MEG data management on the server and good practices of the MEG user in this form |
