Welcome to the MMN wiki!

MMN meetings take place on monday mornings, from 10.00-11.00, and every other week. Language is english. The MMN is organized by Evelyn Eger, Sepideh Sadaghiani, Bertrand Thirion, and Jean-Baptiste Poline. It includes people from the LCOGN and LNAO and possibly other labs who want to share some insights on how to analyse neuroimaging data. It might also turn to be the opportuinity to share insights on acquisition techniques or parameters with some of the physicists in the future.

The main goals of this meeting are:

  • gain deeper understanding of the various methods used for analysis of fMRI/sMRI, as well as EEG/MEG data.
  • create more cross-talk between people developing methods and people using methods, by discussing new techniques and their potential application.

For these meetings to be successful, we need two things: topics and speakers. Therefore, if you have a methodological issue that you would like to know more about, or about which you could share your knowledge, your input is greatly appreciated.

Below is a list of potential topics. Please feel free to add topics that you would like to see covered. Also, if you would like to present a particular method/idea/data set, you can add yourself to the list. You can edit this page simply by clicking on "Edit" on the bottom of the page.

AGENDA 2010:

TOPICS WITHOUT A SPEAKER/DATE:

  • Cortical surface-based analyses using Brainvisa and Freesurfer [alan.tucholka@gmail.com]
  • What is functional and effective connectivity?
  • Going from 3T to 7T: what changes? [christopher.wiggins@cea.fr]
  • Using ICA for cleaning up EEG/MEG data
  • Conjunction analyses: Friston vs. Nichols
  • Where is this blob? How to 'label' your findings
  • Issues in simultaneous EEG/fMRI acquisition
  • The Anatomy Toolbox and WFU PickAtlas Toolbox
  • Distortion correction: how?
  • Surface based analysis: which tools now and in the future
  • ROI analysis in fMRI data: practical (how)
  • ROI analysis in fMRI data: theoretical (why? see e.g., Friston vs Kanwisher)
  • What scanning parameters should I use for my fMRI/sMRI/DTI study?
