NoisyChannels

Case 1 . ALL sensors are noisy

 1. Double check that the door is properly shut. The right hand side light should be GREEN. In doubt, reopen the door and close it again.

 2. Is the participant in SUPINE or UPRIGHT position? In either case, check that the correct options are set in the Acquisition software: in the [Acquisition. Control] window, set the Gantry Position to the appropriate position.

 3. Check that the subject has removed any watch, jewels, magnetic card, coins, hair pins, etc. It may be necessary that the subject brushes his/her hair in order to remove potential ferromagnetic particles.

 4. for women, check that she well removed her bra

 5. Turn off SSP and check whether one sensor is acting up. Once you spotted it, go to case 2.

 6. If the problem looks more serious (spread of noise to other channels, unstability etc), please reach an experienced MEG user.

Case 2. A FEW or a SINGLE sensor is noisy

 1. If you have not been trained on how to tune sensors, ask an experienced MEG user to help you.

 2. If you have been trained to use squiddler:

       Spot the noisy sensor
       Reheat that sensor only
       Reset all sensors
If the sensor is still noisy, try to tune it.
